Boobear & BrushDust

Привет, BrushDust, я тут старый деревянный стол для семейного ужина восстанавливал, и подумал, как мы с тобой оба очень ценим то, чтобы вещи оставались целыми. Не против, если поболтаем о сохранении вещей – от керамики до посуды?

Sure, just don’t expect me to spend an hour polishing a plate like it’s a masterpiece. For wood you start with the grain, look for micro‑cracks and the tiniest chips—those tell you where the stress was. Clean the dust gently, don’t use a squeegee, because it’ll push a little grit into the cracks. For pottery or plates, the glaze should show the subtle yellowing of age, not a smooth, sterile finish. I hate when people “fix” a missing rim and erase the history. Leave that absence—it’s part of the story. So, keep your table as close to its original texture as you can, and I’ll give you a nod when you spot a crack you didn’t see before.
