Yeah, I've been thinking about that. Use wood glue from pure pine sap or a resin mix – it sticks strong and no nasty chemicals. Or try a hide glue if you need that traditional feel. Just make sure you dry it properly and keep the humidity in check, otherwise the joints will flex and you’ll have to chase the misalignment again. It’s a bit more work, but the board will thank you in the long run.
